Hey! I'm Hanna. Traditional photography isn't my cup of tea—and I'm guessing it isn't your either.
So let's throw out the rulebook.
I’ve got 8 years of experience with everything from weddings to music videos, a killer eye for artistic detail, and a knack for making you feel at ease in front of the camera—while still striking cinema-worthy poses.
Welcome!
One of the most overlooked types of wedding venues? The backyard wedding! The first thing on an engaged couples’ to do list is typically to nail down a venue. What most couples don’t think of, though, is having a backyard affair. But when done right, they can be downright stunning. Hannah and Nick incorporated whimsical, boho elements with the natural beauty of the outdoors for their Asheville backyard wedding!
When you plan to have your wedding in an indoor venue, there’s added pressure to make the space your own. A backyard wedding allows you to use trees and surrounding elements to create a beautiful ceremony backdrop.
Nick actually handmade the wooden arch that was placed at the end of the aisle! Their guests gathered on the lawn for their backyard ceremony, which was so lovely. We chose a grassy clearing for group portraits that had mountain views in the background. Another great reason to get married in Asheville!
Nature was a big theme for their day. The wedding favors for guests were beautiful packets of flower seeds. They used tree stumps as stands for the ceremony florals, and a lone tree acted as the backdrop while they said “I do”.
Having an outdoor Asheville wedding is a great way to host your guests in a beautiful space. There are so many great locations along the Blue Ridge Parkway and in Asheville to get married.
