Hey! I'm Hanna. Traditional photography isn't my cup of tea—and I'm guessing it isn't your either.
So let's throw out the rulebook.
I’ve got 8 years of experience with everything from weddings to music videos, a killer eye for artistic detail, and a knack for making you feel at ease in front of the camera—while still striking cinema-worthy poses.
Welcome!
Here’s the deal, there are so many incredible places to elope in—the beach, the desert, the forest. But if there is one place that just can’t be beat, it’s hands down Colorado. The Colorado Rockies are some of the most majestic mountains you’ll ever lay your eyes on. The alpine lakes sparkle more than Tinkerbell. And let’s not forget about the epic hiking trails and adventurous activities you can include here. Yes, Colorado is just THAT good.
While I’m definitely a huge Colorado fan, some people might need a little more convincing (I’m not sure why). So let me tell you the top five reasons why Colorado is the best state to elope in—you’re in for a treat.
The number one reason why Colorado is the BEST state to elope in: the views. Seriously, there are limitless opportunities in this state to capture the perfect glowing sunset or a sparkling diamond sky. Let’s not forget it feels like you could touch Heaven when you’re at the top of a Colorado mountain.
You can’t go wrong just about anywhere in this state. And let me tell you, it has it all:
Is there anything more picturesque than a quiet little mountain town? I didn’t think so! And Colorado has more than you can count. Small ski towns such as Aspen, Vail, and Breckenridge are quite busy in the winter, but during their off-season (aka summer), they settle down a bit. This makes them the perfect place for you to explore without being bombarded by an abundance of people. Not to mention they have some adorable airbnbs perfect for getting ready before your day full of adventure.
Speaking of adventure, Colorado is one of the most adventurous states! Just think about it, you can do it all here. From mountain climbing and hiking to snowboarding and helicopter rides, there is no shortage of epic adventures you could include on your elopement day (or make a weekend out of it). Some of my favorites include hiking, stargazing, watching the sunrise, and hot air balloon rides. And if you need help picking out the perfect activity for your elopement, I’ve got you covered.
If there’s one thing that sets eloping majorly apart from traditional, big weddings, it’s that you can easily loop your elopement and honeymoon into one big adventure. A lot of couples choose to elope somewhere other than their own backyard (unless it’s beautiful, I’m lookin’ at you Asheville). They are already planning to travel, so why not make it into one big trip?
Colorado is the perfect spot for that. I recommend renting a car and driving around the state, because wow, you’re gonna be blown away. Plus, it’s the perfect way to continue an experience you just don’t want to end.
Did you know Colorado is one of the few states that allows you to self-solemnize your marriage? Yes, that’s right. You could get married here without another soul in sight (except me, of course). If you want a truly private elopement experience, this is the way to go. There is nothing more intimate than getting to say your vows to one another without anyone else listening. (I’m not crying, you are.)
Listen, I’m not sure what else I can say to convince you that Colorado is the best state to elope in, so you’re just gonna have to see for yourself! And if you’re in need of someone to help plan your elopement and capture your day, I’m your gal! Fill out my contact form today and let’s chat about how I can help you.
