I am completely obsessed with this indie sunset styled shoot I got to do with this gorgeous couple, Rachel + Nate!

While my regularly scheduled sessions are always a blast, styled shoots are something I like to do every once in a while to spark a little extra creativity into my photography. Enter: this Indie Sunset Styled Shoot. These two were seriously so much fun to work with, and on top of that, they absolutely KILLED. IT. I mean… just look at them!?

Let’s talk about one of my absolute favorite details of this dreamy indie sunset styled shoot!

Those florals:

Florals are something I love to add to any styled shoot, as it add so many more options for posing, as well as, a gorgeous pop of color. These florals are from Flora Botanical Living. They are a full-service floral design studio that offers same day design & delivery. They use locally sourced and foraged flowers (when available in season, of course). How great is that? These definitely added so much life to the shoot and really harmonized all of the colors of mountainous backdrop, rock cliffs and the model’s tones & outfits.

When I was thinking about what I wanted to do for this styled shoot, I immediately pictured a certain style.

Indie style is something that really inspires me. There is something about the flowy midi dresses, wide brim hats, combat boots and suspenders that lights up something in me. Pair those little elements with a gorgeous sunset and you have a styled shoot dream come true. Rachel and Nate totally nailed the vibes I was going for. I walked away from this shoot so excited to get home and edit – which is the best feeling ever!
