Hey! I'm Hanna. Traditional photography isn't my cup of tea—and I'm guessing it isn't your either.
So let's throw out the rulebook.
I’ve got 8 years of experience with everything from weddings to music videos, a killer eye for artistic detail, and a knack for making you feel at ease in front of the camera—while still striking cinema-worthy poses.
Welcome!
There is nothing more magical than witnessing the sun wake up and rise above the horizon. The colors just can’t be beat and the feeling of being up before everyone else in the quiet, stillness of the morning is magical. Many couples want to elope in late afternoon or early evening, when the sunset hits just right. But I’m here to try and change your mind and get you to consider eloping at sunrise instead.
Listen, I get it. It’s so hard to wake up in the morning, let alone when it’s still dark out. It’s not easy, but I promise it’s more than worth it. I’ve never met a sunrise I didn’t like. I mean, you get to witness the world change from night to day, a transition that marks a new beginning. What better way to solidify your love for one another and your transition into marriage?!
Have you ever wanted to go somewhere with incredible views, only to find it bombarded by tourists and crowds? Yes, we’ve all been there at some point. You get frustrated because there are just so many people around, you can’t take a photo without a stranger being in the background, not to mention find any sort of peace and tranquility of just taking in the view. And you definitely don’t want that happening to you on your elopement day.
Sunrise elopements are the absolute perfect way to avoid major crowds if your ceremony location is popular. I mean, not many people wake up early to hike at sunrise. While there may be one or two other people, you’re likely to have most places to yourself. Talk about the most perfect, intimate experience ever.
When you choose to have your ceremony in the afternoon, you spend all morning getting ready and then head off. By the time you’re done, it’s likely going to be getting dark (but we love a good stargazing moment) and there won’t be much time for any other activities. If you’re only planning a one-day elopement experience, sunrise elopements can be the perfect solution to making sure you get to include as many activities as you want.
Just imagine this: you wake up while it’s still dark out, get ready, and head off on a hike (not without our headlamps, of course). The sun softly starts lighting up the sky while you arrive at your destination, you exchange vows as the sky is painted orange, red, purple, and blue, and you gaze in awe at the most stunning view you’ve ever seen. While taking in the magic of the morning, you head back down the trail for a brunch picnic and an epic, full day of adventuring ahead. Yes, please!
You know I saved the best for last. The sunrise views quite honestly cannot be beat. I mean, they are Heaven on earth, I’m tellin’ you (especially if you get to witness some breathtaking cloud inversions). The way the sunlight softly brightens up the sky then turns into beautiful colors of red, orange, and pinks is just *chef’s kiss*. Not to mention the alpenglow on the mountains or glittering waters on an alpine lake.
There is absolutely nothing quite like sunrise elopements, capturing the quiet intimacy of the morning hours while you express your love for one another. Getting to fully take in the views, each other, and your feelings without any distractions. Count me in!
I don’t know if I convinced you to plan a sunrise elopement, but I sure hope so! They can be the most magical and memorable. If you’re brave enough to wake up while it’s still dark out and head out to a dreamy location to exchange vows while the sky epicly changes colors, then I can’t wait to capture it for you. Oh, and did I mention I can help you plan the perfect elopement experience? Fill out my contact form today and let’s get planning!
